      This Obscure Fishing Book is One of the Most Reprinted English Books Ever ‘The Compleat Angler’ is much more than an instruction manual on fishing. It’s a Walden-like meditation on nature.   This is a very good book for the novice fly fisherman.I have read many fly fishing books,but this one I feel is the best one. Everything is put down in simple form to make it very easy for the beginner to are many pictures also to show step by step procedures that are section on leaders I found very helpfull,showing with Cited by: 3.

The book in overall is informative but it's not really suitable for complete beginners. The references to the illustrations don't match what's in the text so you don't really understand which type of fly or weights the author is referring to.3/5.
